Franklin & Seidelmann Subspecialty Radiology (F&S) is a leading, national full-service subspecialty teleradiology provider serving imaging centers, physician practices, radiology groups and hospitals. The F&S network of more than 100 radiologists, who combined are licensed in 50 states, includes: board certified musculoskeletal (MSK), oncological, cardiac and breast MR specialists, and neuroradiologists with Certificates of Added Qualifications. F&S radiologists have extensive training in advanced modalities such as 3.0T and 1.5T MRI, MDCT, and PET/CT. F&S utilizes a teleradiology platform to deliver radiology reports quickly and securely to clients and referrers enabling any client in any geographical location to easily access subspecialty expertise. In addition to the teleradiology network F&S has a growing staff of more than 100 professionals in the areas of RT, IT, client service, licensing and credentialing, account management, marketing, finance, operations and billing. F&S is uniquely positioned to be the subspecialty leader because of the following key differentiating factors: • Radiologists/Report Quality – A network made up of dedicated, experienced, remote subspecialty radiologists with a narrow and deep focus of clinical specialty, modality, anatomy and pathology provide detailed interpretations that meet the needs of today’s demanding specialized clinicians. F&S radiologists “speak the language” of clinicians, are highly accessible for consultations and prefer a collaborative team approach to medicine. • Standards – F&S maintains a high level of quality and consistency across interpretations through training and education, utilization of a standard lexicon, a rigorous quality control and peer review process, and second reads for radiologists new to F&S. • High Subspecialty Study Volume – Because F&S is a national provider, we receive a high volume of dedicated subspecialty cases (i.e., MSK MRI, neuroradiology) from all over the country. This allows each radiologist to interpret a high volume of studies annually in their area of specialization such as MSK MRI of the foot/ankle to build and maintain expertise. This subspecialty volume is significantly higher than that experienced at most traditional radiology environments where radiologists have to interpret a wide variety of studies such as X-Ray, US, Mammo, CT, etc. • Proven Infrastructure – A sophisticated teleradiology workflow system developed specifically for F&S ensures fast distribution of information, images and reports between clients and radiologists. Clients may receive their reports via automated fax or via the Web. A Tier 1 co-located data center manages network and Internet infrastructure ensuring 99.99% uptime reliability, scalability and security. • Consultative Support Services – A team of client service representatives, RT, IT, credentialing, licensing, marketing, and billing staff provide consultative services to F&S clients as needed. The services often take the form of advanced modality protocol development, modality selection, radiologist educational lectures via Webinar, site policy and procedure preparation, and referral building and awareness programs. Our History Located in Cleveland, OH, Franklin & Seidelmann Subspecialty Radiology was founded in 2001 when two pioneer subspecialty teleradiologists, Dr. Peter Franklin, musculoskeletal MRI specialist, and Dr. Frank Seidelmann, musculoskeletal MRI specialist and neuroradiologist, merged their practices. Dr. Franklin established himself as one of the country's leaders in teleradiology, having provided the service since its infancy in 1994, and Dr. Seidelmann has been practicing virtual subspecialty radiology since 1997. In 2007, F&S acquired Apex Radiology to broaden its teleradiology service offering by adding night time final and preliminary interpretation capabilities.
